Frequently Asked Questions
The CM-5000 is preset to display temperature in degrees Fahrenheit, but can be changed anytime to display Celsius. To switch to Celsius, press and hold the COOLER button until the set-point reaches the minimum setting of 40°F degrees. Continue to hold the button for another 5 seconds and the display will switch to Celsius. Adjust the set-point temperature to the desired value using the WARMER or COOLER buttons. When displaying the temperature in Celsius, the right decimal point will illuminate.
To change the display from Celsius to Fahrenheit, hold the WARMER button until the displays reaches the maximum reading of 32°C. Continue holding the button for 5 seconds and the display will convert to Fahrenheit.
If you have a 12V unit, use PAG 100 oil
If you have a 110/12V unit, use POE (Polyolester) oil
For either type, make sure to check what refrigerant you have. Most common used by Hoseline, Inc. – refrigerant R-134a
Hoseline recommends 2lbs of Freon plus the OEM charge to start. Adjustments may be made from there, depending on condenser types and hose lengths.
Hoseline recommends antifreeze flows in the bottom of the core and out of the top.
